Cinnamon Pear Waffles
An easy freezer-friendly waffles recipe filled with warm spices and pear! Great for a healthy breakfast, snack or packed in a school lunch.

Cinnamon Pear Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour - all-purpose, white whole wheat, gluten-free blend, mix of whole wheat and white wheat
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk - regular or any plain plant-based milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter or olive or avocado oil
- 1 pear, grated or finely chopped
Instructions
- Prep: preheat a waffle iron.
- Mix Ingredients: in a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt. Add in the egg, milk, maple syrup, and butter and stir until just incorporated.
- Add Pears: add in the pears and gently fold the ingredients together.
- Make Waffles: scoop the batter into your waffle maker and cook accordingly to your waffle maker's directions. My waffle maker cooked these for 3 minutes.
- Serve: let cool and serve with a side of yogurt to dip the waffles in, a drizzle of maple syrup, or a smear of nut butter on top.

Storage: can be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
