Peach Pea Puree

Simmered peaches and peas join forces to create this crisp and naturally sweet puree for your baby. And because both foods are "P" foods, this puree will help with mild constipation. 


Nutritional Information

  • Good source of vitamin C and A, peaches are a great immune-booster.
  • Contain lutein, which supports eye health.
  • Have phosphorus, which is crucial for building healthy bones and teeth.
  • Good source of potassium, an important electrolyte that helps to regulate heart beat.
  • High in antioxidants which help reduce the risk of certain cancers.

Peach Pea Puree

Ingredients

  • 2 cups peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the peaches, peas, water, and nutmeg into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes or until soft and broken down. Let cool slightly,
  2.  Using a slotted spoon, transfer the ingredients (leaving the cooking juices behind) to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

Notes 

Age: 6+ months 

Storage: you can store the purees in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for 4 months. 

Yield: roughly 6-8 ounces of puree
