Kiwi Avocado & Pear Puree

A creamy and citrusy puree made with 3 simple ingredients - pear, avocado, and kiwi!

Kiwi Avocado & Pear Puree

Ingredients

  • 2 pears, peeled and cored
  • 4 ripe kiwis, peeled
  • 1/2 avocado, peeled

Instructions

  1. Steam: In a medium saucepan, bring 2″ of water to a boil over medium heat. In a steamer basket, add in the pear and steam for 8-10 minutes or until the pear is very fork tender. 
  2. Blend: Add the pears, kiwi, and avocado to a blender or food processor and puree for 1 minute or until you have achieved the desired texture. If the puree is too thick, add in 1/4 cup of the reserved steamer water until you have the right consistency.
  3. Serve: let cool and serve to your baby or freeze for a later meal.

 

Notes 

Age: 7+ months 

Yield: 15 ounces

Note on Pears: if your pears are very ripe and soft, you can just peel them and just add them to your blender (no cooking required).
