Roasted Strawberry Pear Puree

This Roasted Strawberry Pear Baby Food Puree is sweet, smooth, and beyond delicious. Plus, it’s full of vitamins and antioxidants to fuel your baby’s growing brain, and couldn’t be easier to make!

Roasted Strawberry Pear Puree

Servings: 20 ounces
Age: 7+ months 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and cut in half
  • 4 pears, peeled, cored and cut into slices
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Place pear slices and strawberries onto a baking sheet, they can overlap each other. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 30-35 minutes or until pears are easily pricked with a fork. Let cool slightly.
  4. Transfer the strawberries and pears into a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes or until completely smooth, adding in water 1/4 cup at at time if the puree is too thick.

Notes 

Age: 6+ months

Yield: makes 20 ounces

Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months.

Note on Pears: it's best to peel the pears for babies just starting to eat solids, as the skin can have a lot of fiber, but after that, it is optional if you peel the pears or not.
