Spiced Pear & Oat Puree

This Spiced Pear Oat Baby Food Puree is a great warming breakfast filled with wholesome ingredients. Loaded with fiber, complex carbohydrates and anti-inflammatory support for a busy baby.

Spiced Pear & Oat Puree

Servings: 15 ounces
Age: 7+ months 

Ingredients

  • 2 pears, peeled, cored, and roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned/rolled oats
  • 3 dates
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of cloves
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine the pear, oats, water, cinnamon, and cloves in a medium saucepan and heat on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the pear is tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, place the dates in a small bowl and cover them with very warm/hot water. Soak for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the cooked oats and pear, as well as the dates, into a blender or food processor. For a stage 2 puree – puree for 1-2 minutes or until completely smooth. For a stage 3 puree – pulse in 5-second intervals until combined yet still chunky.

Notes 

Age: 6+ months

Yield: 15 ounces

Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months.
