Sweet Potato Beets & White Bean Puree

This Sweet Potato, Beets + White Beans Baby Food Puree is a brightly colored and delicious puree for your baby. Easy 3-ingredient baby food that is loaded with protein, fiber, manganese, calcium, iron, and vitamins A and C.

Sweet Potato Beets & White Bean Puree

Age: 7+ months 


  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 medium red beet, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup white beans


  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 inches of water to a boil. In a steamer basket, add in the sweet potato, beet, and beans, place the basket over boiling water, and cover. Steam for 12-15 minutes or until all ingredients are tender when pricked with a fork. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Reserve steamer water.
  2. Transfer all ingredients to a blender or food processor. Add in 1/4 cup liquid (steamer water, fresh breast milk, formula, stock, or water).
  3. Puree all of the ingredients at high speed for 1-2 minutes or until you reach your desired consistency. Add additional liquid in 1/4 cup increments if the puree is too thick. I had to add 1/2 cup of reserved steamer water to the puree pictured above.


Age: 6+ months 

Yield: roughly 26 ounces 

Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months.
